At Bodyguard, building a safe and reliable solution is something we take seriously every day. Last year, we achieved our SOC 2 Type 1 attestation, demonstrating that our security controls were properly designed and implemented.
Today, we are proud to announce the next step in that journey: Bodyguard has received a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report.
What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 is an independent review of how a company manages and protects information.
It looks at the systems, processes, and controls a company uses to:
- protect its systems and data,
- keep its services available,
- handle confidential information responsibly.
For customers and partners, SOC 2 provides additional information about how a company manages security and data protection.
What does SOC 2 Type 2 mean?
Today, we are proud to announce the next step in that journey: Bodyguard has received a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report.
While SOC 2 Type 1 validates that the right controls are in place, SOC 2 Type 2 demonstrates that these controls operated effectively over time. This attestation reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining strong security practices and continuously protecting the data entrusted to us.
This report covers the period from March 23, 2026 to June 23, 2026 and was issued by Sensiba. It covers three areas of the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, and Confidentiality
What is the difference between SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2?
SOC 2 Type 1 looks at whether a company’s controls are properly designed and in place at a specific point in time.
SOC 2 Type 2 goes further. It checks whether these controls work effectively over a defined period of time.
This means that our SOC 2 Type 2 attestation is not just a snapshot. It reflects the way our controls operated day after day during the review period.
